Can I use my State Id as proof of Citizenship?

No. You must bring one of the following items listed on the requirement form. If you're receiving DES benefits try requesting a copy of your document on file.

I have received assistance before can you use my previous documentation?

No. Make sure you bring all of the required documentation each time you come in and apply for services.

I can't find my original documents do you accept copies?

Yes. Copies must be legible.

Can I set up an appointment to apply for services?

No. The only assistance provided by appointment is Tax preparation assistance. All other services are provided on assistance dates. Please refer to our assistance calendar.

Do you perform home visits?

No. Unfortunately due to the pandemic and other health scares, no home visits are being performed at this time.

My income is direct deposited into my bank can I use my bank statement for proof of income?

No. All income must be from the originating source.

I have paperless billing can you view the bill on my phone?

No. All documents must be printed out and brought in on assistance dates. We are unable to print or access any of your documentation at any of our sites.

I can't locate my new Social Security Award letter but my income hasn't change . Can I use the one on hand?

No. We must have award letters for any source of income for the year you are applying in. Please contact the Social Security office or login to ssa.gov to access or retrieve a copy of the current benefit award letter.
